Ants are a problem in just about any household especially when you leave food hanging around. It can be annoying to deal with them on a regular basis. If you think you've had enough, there are many ways of getting rid of ants. You can use chemicals or if you want safer options, you can use some clever everyday household items to keep them away.
Some people found baby powder to be effective in keeping ants at bay. Dusting scented powder on food jars or pet trays will keep them from any ant attacks. Spraying ants with apple cider vinegar, black pepper, bay leaves and cinnamon will also send them scattering away. Their scent is repulsive when it comes to these critters. Spreading whole cloves in problem areas such as kitchen counters and cabinets is also effective in keeping them away.
Another way of getting rid of ants is to get rid of their nest. Getting the queen killed will keep them from multiplying. Make sure you keep the house neat and clean at all times.
