The great pyramid was constructed from limestone blocks. The limestone was taken to the site by boat from the Nile River. Till this date, it is not known for certain how the great pyramid was constructed.
There are three known chambers found inside the pyramid. The King's chamber is lined with red granite. The Queen's chamber is lined with limestone.
The third chamber is found below ground. It is known as the unfinished chamber. It is believed that this was the intended burial chamber for the King but was abandoned when he decided to be further up the pyramid.
