Working for a Gamestop is the dream of gamers of a certain age. To be able to get discounts on games such as Grand Theft Auto, Modern Warfare, Sims, etc. The issue is you have to be of legal working age and have a passion for gaming. You should also have the time to do so. Nobody wants to work in the Gamestop all of their lives so you must also have time for doing your school's work and project. Here are steps on how to work in a Gamestop.

Great Advice , my son is in need of something to do and a job. This would be perfect for him.

And actually DO the work. And it would be nice if you could count change without a calculator as well. That goes for all retail in general.
Posted 2011-04-03
Well it's not a "game" to work for a Gamestop lol.

It would be a good idea to check your state's child labor laws first, to save you the trouble of being told you're to young to work there.

Excellent! My brother has been looking for a job and he is a true gamer! This would be an amazing job for him! I'm going to have him take a look at this article! Thank you!

Well, if you want to atract attention then you will create an impact if you hire a 60 year old guy and teach them all there is to know about games. To see children taking lessons from a granfather is surrely a sight worth seeing.

well must say, thats a pretty stupid topic. if you really want to know then the thought of asking at the desk or visiting their online site would be the most logical and practical solution.

I think that in the future age won't matter esspecially in this field, because we depend on tehnology, and people, even the older ones will learn much faster and adapt more faster so i think that this subject of older people working in a game stop won't be a tabu.

I'm considering to work at Gamestop because I'm 19 years old and I like gaming.Instead,my father should not work at Gamestop because he doesen't know how to act with a computer.

The article clearly doesn't answer what the title asked. It sounds like any other "steps to find a job".
Posted 2011-04-08
Well this is interesting, I would actually like a job here, as getting jobs these days is getting harder and harder. So every little bit helps.

Alot of stores will not hire minors by choosing adults over a minor despite lack of qualifications. This happends alot.
Posted 2011-04-11
I think that is the legal age of working almost everywhere. Anyway, Gamespot is a great store, with loads of cheap games.
Posted 2011-04-11
What a waste. All that chatter vs "What Age". Talk about not being succinct. What Age....uh 16 dude...oh thanks...vs blah blah blah
Posted 2011-04-11
I don't think it matteres how old you are. As long as you have an interest in videogames, and are knowledgable in the subject, anyone can work there (as long as they're at the legal working age)

I wish that there were other game stores to work at but most of them are going closing down
