I also travel a lot, and these ARE great tips. I don't like the one about flirting with the hotel staff, though. Rapes and attacks can and do happen in hotels. Why open yourself up to the risk?

It depends also which country or hotel chain you are using, as some of them are very stingy, and you would be surprised at the lack of quality of places who *wont* give you a discount.
