The cat may be someone's pet so ask around the neighborhood if they have a cat missing. You can also make fliers and put them up in the neighborhood. And while you ask around, see if there is somebody interested in adopting the cat as a pet. You may be able to find it a good home yourself.
If the cat wrecking havoc on your garden happens to be your neighbor's pet, let them know how you feel about it. You can ask them politely to keep their pet indoors and make sure it is neutered. They will be able to take action and keep the cat away from you and your home.
