How To Make The Perfect Grilled Hamburger
How To / Instruction
Start with a fresh ground beef.
To ensure juiciness make certain that the ground beef you bought has a little percentage of fat. Some usually wanted their meat well done. If you wanted to do so ask the butcher or choose meat with a little higher fat content so you could cook them a little longer without drying your patties up.
Season your ground beef the way you like. You could add spices of your choice and chill the beef well before forming the patties. Wash your hands well, then form the patties.
Get a portion of the ground beef depending on how big you wanted your patty. Form the ground meat into a tight ball. Using your palm press the ball into a flat cake.
Cut the extra sides of the patty with a knife to make it look cleaner and rounder.
Make the diameter of your patties a little larger than your buns since there is always the tendency for the meat to shrink.
If you opt for a charcoal grill, clean the grill bar by putting oil onto a paper towel and wipe it.
If you didn't season your ground meat before chilling you could always season both sides of the patty with pepper and salt before grilling them.
Cook the patty for about 4 minutes or more it really depends on you. Peek the insides of your patty by using a spatula to make sure it's cooked.
You could serve your hamburgers with any toppings you prefer like cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, ketchup or mayo.
