1First, gather your materials: pencils, papers, pen, eraser and colored pens or crayons.

2Draw the basic shapes of your dog. Draw an oblong at the center of the paper and an oval at the right side. Make sure that these shapes don't touch so that there will be space for the neck. inside the oblong, draw four circles that will act as a base of the legs.

3Add the legs of the dog by using curves and lines. You don't want it to be too straight. Draw the outline of dog by connecting the legs and the shapes. Draw the tail.

4Draw your dog's face. Add ears depending on how your dog's ears look. draw the eyes. To draw the nose, draw an inverted triangle with rounded edges. Below the nose, draw an inverted Y to serve as the mouth.

5Erase all unwanted lines and add details. Add lines and curves that helps you define the dog more.

6Do the shading and the toning. Use an eraser to blend the shade.
