What are Fabric Crayons?

Fabric crayons are crayons designed specifically for decorating cloth. There are two types: ones that you can use to directly write on the cloth or ones to create pieces that you iron on. To use the former, you must iron the crayon designs to make it permanent. In order to use the latter method, you must first draw your design onto a non-glossy piece of paper. Then you place the piece of paper face down on the fabric that you wish to decorate and iron the back of the paper. Fabric crayons are excellent because items decorated with it are machine washable, though preferably in cold water. Popular manufacturers include Crayola, Clementine Art, and Pentel.
