What is the Difference Between Arteries, Veins, Blood Vessels and Capillaries?

Blood capillaries connect

Arteries are the largest tubes that carry the blood from the left ventricle of the heart to the capillaries. They carry oxygen rich blood.

Veins carry blood from the capillaries to the heart, their blood does not contain oxygen.

Blood vessels are the hollow devices that carry blood throughout your system.

Capillaries receive blood from the arteries, exchanging the oxygen rich blood for carbon dioxide from the surrounding tissues. They then dump the waste-blood into the veins.
