What is a Push Pin?

Everyone knows what a push pin

A push pin is a small object that is used to pin things to bulletin boards or walls. It has a plastic top, and a metal pin that holds the papers to the bulletin board. Over the years, push pins were known, not only as bulletin board holders but also as home decors, cloth support and as a marker.

The plastic handle of the push pin is designed to make the pins easy to push and easy to detach from the wall. Multi-colored push pins can add a fun look to a bulletin board, while the clear colorless type of push pin can look quite elegant.

In 1900, Edwin Moore introduced the push pins to the public, and in July 19, 1904, Moore incorporated the Moore Push-Pin Company.
