Who is Kenneth Cole

Kenneth Cole is an American fashion designer who founded his company, Kenneth Cole Productions in December of 1982. He has gained recognition for his designs of footwear, clothing, accessories and fragrance for men and women under the lines of Kenneth Cole New York, Kenneth Cole Reaction, and Unlisted. Kenneth Cole has achieved worldwide success with over 90 retail and outlet stores in the United States and abroad. His controversial advertising campaigns have also received significant attention and he is never one to shy away from promoting social consciousness and supporting various causes such as Aids awareness and research. Kenneth Cole has garnered numerous awards for his dedication and effort to use his talents and designs in pursuit of his philanthropic endeavors. Various organizations that have recognized his humanitarian efforts include The Creative Coalition which honored Kenneth with their Spotlight Award for his work and was also given the 1998 Spotlight Award by Amnesty International. His achievements are truly a testament to his undying commitment to service. Kenneth Cole is currently married to Maria Cuomo Cole, the daughter of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo.
